Dr. Sara Perkins graduated from Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2000 and completed an internship at Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital in 2001. She worked with the UC Davis Equine Internal Medicine Group in 2003 and has practiced equine medicine privately since then. Her interests include acquiring a deeper understanding of performance and behavior, and refining examinations and diagnostic approaches based on evidence from imaging and post-mortem dissections, with the goal of developing more informed training and rehabilitation methods. A lifelong equestrian with experience in multiple disciplines, she currently focuses on dressage.
